Google Drive sounds more convenient that Dropbox, since every Android user has Drive?

While I agree with you that it won't be widely accepted/used, and I also don't see the point of implementing it. The cache GCD might be a bad example. That cache isn't good in any way, it's just old, and therefore don't deserve that many FP in my opinion. 10 "votes" is more realistic than 782 FP. :)

Still, it's a system that should have been closed down years ago in my opinion. It was ahead of time and it's long-term purpose turned out to be to have HQ implement FP on their site. A good outcome.

My two cents.

I really dislike the name spoiler pictures. It's only c:geo that calls it that right? It hints to that the pictures should be spoiling things, which they really shouldn't, at least not those from logs, and there is no guarantee any other picture is a spoiler either.

I was talking about the name of the Virtual GPS (in the above case).

I'll create the basics for the two required API methods and get back to you via email. If not later today (already 7 pm here), then tomorrow.

Color circle on the outside was my alternative idea, even before I saw the new app. I even said so in the original post. :)

"It could be color coding by adding circles around the cache icons"

PS! I will not complain about the new cache icons the first months, I know I hate change... Everything takes time to get used to.

Sure, it's technically possible to build an offline OSM map that is as good as using the tile servers. But these usually don't exists. And if one wants a whole country or even a single Bundesland in Germany, the offline map file would be enormous if it were to contain the same detail level as the tile servers.

Oh, I was sure it was free. Maybe it was a few years ago, or else I was just falsely informed. I can't find anything that confirms that it should have been free either.

Actually weird since they have their "tap to translate" concept. When marking text the operating system should add some floating icon to help translate. That requires the text to be selectable though, I guess the HTML view works for the description, though not as smooth as it could have been.

To bad if it isn't free, would have been a great feature. Very competitive against other products.

There is no API method for it now, but I can throw the first version together in an hour or two. I have prepared a bit for third party api functions by already having access tokens available. Then making two api functions shouldn't take much time if we leave error handling for a second phase.

Just get back to me when you feel that you are ready to look into it, then we can make some form of spec together.

Note to self: When fetching lists the response should include id and name (as mentioned in original post), but also number of geocaches of course.
