the idea of using colorTAG led me to the idea of using bookmark lists for filtering a group of caches and their subsequent color marking.

therefore the question about the development of a new filter according to the bookmark list

0.1mi Circles Compounding

DOC-WHO 11 months ago updated 11 months ago 0

When a cache is in "goto mode" and Waypoints are shown, the 0.1mi circles percentage is added/compounded together and obliterates the map.

I think it might be much better if it stayed at an equal percentage. (which I'd also like to vary if possible).

County maps

The county maps for Connecticut are incorrect.   Missing a county and wrong lines.

Greyed Out maps option has disappeared.v3.02

This is by design. I might or might not add it back. It required heavy modifications to the mapping library.

Zoom Out with 2 Finger Click

DOC-WHO 1 year ago updated by GCDroid Support 1 year ago 1

Could we have Zoom-Out with 2 finger tap on map screen please. Should make for much easier map use for those with big fingers or 10 thumbs.😁

Honestly, I do not see any issues with zoom.

But you can already do: one finger, double tap and drag.

Import from V2.

simu 1 year ago updated by GCDroid Support 1 year ago 1

I wozld lije to have a import in V3 from the old V2 version.

Including all:

- settings

- DBs

- maps (deleting them in the old version).

Simply everything.

Thank you

Unfortunately, that is not possible due to Android limitations.

Here what you can do for maps and DBs:
You can copy the old data from either /GCDroid or /Android/data/com.gcdroid (depends on your settings) to /Android/media/com.gcdroid.sub

You might have to use PC since Android might restrict access to data folder.

Settings are app-private and not accessible in any way unfortunately.

Live Map User Waypoints

DOC-WHO 1 year ago updated 1 year ago 0

Ive been adding some user created waypoints to my Live Map, and was wondering firstly where had some disappeared to.....

( so need transfer the Live Map dB? from old GCD ? or Open Old GCD, Filter, Save New dB for my WPs to Import with New GCDW)

So we still have the problem where GCDW Live-dB still hold my new user created WPs, and its Not the easiest to thing to simply list All my WPs.....

(Live Map > Filter CacheTypeOther > Apply > View dB List to see All User created WPs)

But, now my WPs are listed and mixed with Other APE,HQ,etc...

The Old GCD WPs have to be MERGED to a WP dB....

So now when I create a new WP, I have to remember to add it to my WP dB....

Ugh, this would be all so much easier if User Created WPs were automatically added to a GCDW assigned WPdB.

Also, WP needs to be added to Live Cache types, or its own Filter, seperated from Other,APE,HQ,etc

filter on country and region

sloth96 1 year ago updated by GCDroid Support 1 year ago 1

Howdy,

While in Bermuda, a friend challenged me to find the oldest. As there are only about 150 caches in Bermuda, it seemed easy to do with the Live Map.  Goto list view and then sort by Placed Date.  However all the caches from the mainland cluttered this.  I ended up clearing my live database and then panning over Bermuda to get all the Bermuda caches.  It would have been easier to just filter the live database to Bermuda at the beginning.  Also without internet, it would not have been possible.

This is tough. I do not collect or store that information.
