all true... simply stated that users need to be aware of the fact the best performance will always be achieved when using internal memory and that when comparing apps this important factor needs to be considered. One should not compare app A writing to internal memory to app B writing to SD card.

custom maps settings (NOT downloaded offline maps), logtemplates and all preferences will now be backed up automatically.
settings changed right before uninstalling the app will NOT be backed up. Googles backup service runs every few hours. So changes made within let's say the last half day will be lost.
this is the case for all apps that use the built-in backup which is what an app should do.
that being said it will also only work if the newly installed app is either the same or newer compared to the backup.
so if you 'downgrade' GCDroid the backup will not be restored! which is good since the backup could be incompatible with the older version of GCDroid.
