Independent POI would be a very important feature. Very simple model would be enough, just like Neongeo had it: one can add a POI by pushing the map with a finger, then modify (or not) the coordinates and give the POI any name you want (parking, trailhead, car, hotel, what ever). This way different kinds of symbols are not necessary. If you can add this feature to GcDroid, it would be a great improvement to the already great application. 😊
