Copy Text on Overview/Details page

DOC-WHO 5 years ago updated by novw nl 3 years ago 3

It would be great to copy any text in the details page, like you can on the Source/HTML views.
One reason being copying earthcache questions to then past into Notes, and answer them there, ready for posting later.
Another reason, is copying formulae or Co-ords to once again edit in notes.

What you describe already works on the HTML view just as you mention it.

This fine grained selection does not really fit the main view. So the workaround is to switch to HTML first....

I personally also would like to have the option to copy any text from descriptions by default, instead of the whole description. I never used the "copy all" feature, and even if I would like to, I would just select all the text. Switching to HTML makes it more clicking, and when we consider copying only some parts of the text, you have to switch from the view, and back all the time, which makes it even longer. So +1 here.

Agreed. I never understood why I can't copy (part of the) cache description from the cache description itself. Specially with formulas and or coordinates its an extra hassle to switch to html or page source.
