New user waypoints not shown after creation
Hi
I understand why the following behavior is there but I find it a not a user-friendly behavior.
Use-case: In a local DB filter for caches with e.g >10 FP. As this cache does not have a parking wp we click on "+" to create a good place to navigate to. After creation of the WP we could use it to click Navigate and use my navigation app to go to that wp.
Issue:
As "+" create a WP of type UserWaypints without any attributes it fails nearly never into the filter conditions. Meaning we click "create Waypoint" but on screen there is no waypoint generated. In the background you generate that wp but you do not show it as it does not fit to the filter.
Reset the filter works of course and shows the just generated WP.
Request:
As it's confusing that the app creates an new WP but does not show it you should think about showing new WP independent of the filter. Or think about excluding "user" wp from the filter in general
Thanks for checking
Answer
I understand your point but at the end of the day, the user set the filter...
Currently custom WP are filtered via 'Other' type. Other includes super rare types like APE, HQ, etc.
So technically it is no problem for the user to just keep that selected. It will, in 99.99999% of the cases NOT add any extra caches to the map besides custom WP.
Also, you can select the cache and go to the cache details and add a WP that is part of that cache. When you 'GOTO' that cache, the WP will show on the map, regardless of filter. That would be the other option.
I'll think about it.
