Sort list of caches around current location

On Facebook this question was raised by Marc Harris:

When I'm out in the field, I use the live map feature. When I click on the "cache list" icon in the lower left corner, I always get a list using my home location as center point. Not very useful when I'm way out there. Is there a way to move the centrer point for my cache list to my current location?

There is a way by (re-)sorting the list, but indeed: it is weird the list is not updated around current location (or currently selected cache) .
