Logs Tab shows incorrect counts

DOC-WHO 6 years ago updated by GCDroid Support 6 years ago 5

The  first  line  showing  Log counts  on  any  cache  only  shows  the  counts  total  for  logs  loaded....
Thus...
LOGS  14x Found it...    should read
LOGS  14x (of ???) x Found it...     or
LOGS  14/???  :D (Emoticon)... Etc

This is not a bug, it works as intended, counting the logs that GCDroid KNOWS about.

While I like the idea there is no real way of ever knowing the total, so this can not be implemented.

ok,  could  you  add  the  string  "/? "to  denote  all  logs  are  not  loaded  perhaps,  or  color  it  red  to  denote  not  all  logs  loaded.?

No it serves no purpose and uses up space. in 6.5 years not a single user complained about it.

Content only makes sense if it changes. In other words, if I sometimes would show all logs and KNOW it and then change the content it MIGHT make sense. But never knowing if all are loaded it ALWAYS would be red or with a ?.

Not making sense to do that, does it?

If  it  comes  down  to  space  I  agree

It is space but also about useful content. From my POV any data that is ALWAYS the same is rather 'useless' if you know what I mean... It's about adding value.

Once you load a cache I guess it is clear to most that not all logs are loaded (basically no app blindly loads them all). And once you realize that then add color or ? adds no more value :-)
